N2 - The problem of reliable capacity achieving transmission over asymmetric side-information channels is considered. A new simple and general method is proposed that can be used to convert this problem to the problem of transmission over symmetric side-information channels which is simpler to implement. In particular, the method can be used to achieve the capacity of side-information channels using polar codes. For the degenerated case where there is no side information at the transmitter (i.e., a plain communication channel) the method yields a new simple scheme for transmission over plain asymmetric channels.
