Clinical intervention with children: Challenge for the social worker

Abstract

Social workers very rarely engage in direct clinical interventions with children. This article dismisses the problems of working with children and highlights the importance of directly working with children. Social workers are presented as the most suitable people for clinical intervention with children because of their generic training and ability for multi-dimensional intervention.
