Abstract

A classical nonlocal effect, analog to the quantum Aharonov-Bohm and Aharonov-Casher effect, was discussed. The topological dependence of accumulated phase on the winding number around the magnetic fluxon was elaborated. It was found that both the topological and nonlocal features of the Aharonov-Bohm effect were manifested in a classical model that incorporates random noise. The analysis also suggested a new type of multiparticle topological nonlocal effects which had no quantum analog.
