Abstract
The case of a pregnant woman with a large cavernous haemangioma of the vulva in whom caesarean hysterectomy was performed is presented. The advantages of conservative treatment during pregnancy and labour are emphasized. In the present case caesarean hysterectomy was indicated and supracervical rather than total hysterectomy was desirable. Postoperative treatment with anticoagulants is suggested to prevent thrombotic complications in the haemangioma
