Abstract
The clinical details of a case of primary carcinoma of the vagina are described. The literature on the management of vaginal cancer is reviewed. Treatment must be individualized and planned according to the location and stage of the primary tumour. All patients treated for malignant lesions of the vagina must be followed up for life with regular pelvic and vaginal cytological examinations.
