Abstract

Using the causal representation of Deser, Gilbert and Sudarshan, it is shown that there are no Schwinger term contributions to the magnetic moment sum rules. Consistency between Cabibbo-Radicati and Dashen-Gell-Mann-Lee sum rules may, however, follow from the fact that the saturated sum rules do not test the exact equal time limit.
