N2 - Losses generated by AC-magnetic fields in BSCCO-2212 tubes of different dimensions were directly measured by the calorimetric technique from 65-90 K, and in AC fields of up to 1600 Oe. A modified model of hysteresis losses, which takes into account an exponential field dependence of the critical current, was found to describe well the main features of dissipation.
