Abstract
Malignant neoplasm of the breast is exceedingly rare in persons under the age of 20 years. Nonetheless, they have elicited interest out of proportion to their frequency because of their variable clinical course. Whereas in some patients the disease follows a relatively benign course, as witnessed by the microscopic pattern of their malignancy, others were the victims of metastases and resultant fatal outcome. This paper is based on the study of seven patients, aged 14-17 years, treated during the years 1967-1989 in various hospitals in Israel for malignancy of the breast. The clinical features, histologic types, therapy, and prognosis are discussed.
