Abstract

Boson resonance production has been studied in quasi-two and three-body final states of pp annihilations at 6.94 GeV/c leading to six and more pions. Evidence is presented for the existence of heavy bosons X^o(3.1), X^o(3.4) and X^o(3.6) seen in the reaction pp → X^oπ^o. The 3π⁺3π^- decay mode is observed for the X^o(3.1) and X^o(3.4) bosons and decay mode 4π⁺4π^- is seen for the X^o(3.4) and X^o(3.6) bosons. The A₃ and a G = -1 resonance in the T region are seen to be produced in association with a pion and a vector meson.
