Abstract

This chapter discusses Boolean algebras and the Boolean notions used in this book. The first section is meant for those who want to get to the main text of the book as soon as they can, it lists the basic notions used, lavishly illustrated with structure diagrams. The second section is an appendix which adds some instructions – for readers who don’t feel comfortable with semantic formalism – on how to read formulas with lambdas. The third section is a thorough introduction to Boolean algebras.
