Abstract

A 35-year-old man with a history of neurofibromatosis lind a soft tissue mass and enlargement of the right thigh. A bone scan was requested before surgical intervention to assess the extent of soft tissue and osseous involvement. The bone scan showed marked soft tissue swelling and Tc-99m MDP uptake in the soft tissues of the right thigh and the sacral region. No abnormal bony uptake was noted in the femur or tibia.
