Abstract

A 62-yr-old patient presented with fever and abdominal pain. Urinary retention and bilateral hydronephrosis were caused by bladder malfunction due to infiltration of the bladder wall by metastases from a carcinoma of the head of the pancreas. Both ureters were free. A previous choledochoduodenostomy prevented the development of jaundice.
