Abstract

Cohen offers an examination of the impact of religious doubt composed by twelfth- and early thirteenth-century Ashkenazic of Germanic Jews. The two hundred years that followed the first Crusade proved critical for the Jewish minority in European Christendom, just as they brought medieval Christian civilization to its zenith.
