Abstract

In the version of this article initially published, in the fourth paragraph of the “Key challenges and solutions” section, in the sentence now reading “However, it is often possible to obtain highly selective inhibitors for the pathogen target compared with the human orthologue, even if there is close similarity between them, as exemplified by the proteasome54,56, CPSF3 (ref.52) or N- myristoyltransferases70,71,” N- myristoyltransferases originally appeared as “N- methyltransferases.” The error has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
