Auger mechanism of exoelectron emission in dielectrics with high electron affinity

Abstract

A theory of the Auger mechanism of thermally stimulated exoelectron emission from dielectrics was studied. The rate and the effective radius of Auger ionization, emission kinetics, and glow curves were also calculated. The results show that on increasing the electron trap density leads to a gradual decrease in the order of the emission kinetics from 3 to 2.
