Abstract
Considers a large number of behavioral paradigms in attention. The authors consider what captures attention and how attention behaves over space and time (and over objects situated in space and time). The authors also discuss preattentive and attentive processing. Although much has been learned about attention in the past century, and although the pace of discovery is (if anything) accelerating, there are many more questions that need to be answered.
