Abstract

The wind tunnel experiments on an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) are described to which active separation control was added to improve its performance and to exercise roll authority in an unconventional manner. The four stages of the project was subdivided into four stages which include: oscillatory and steady blowing; self contained oscillatory blowing system development; system installation on the UAV; and flight tests of the UAV with active separation control.
