Abstract

Antheliatin [1], zahavin A [2], and zahavin B [3], three novel xenicane diterpenoids, have been isolated from two Indo-Pacific soft corals, Anthelia glauca and Alcyonium aureum. The two species belong to different families of reef-inhabiting soft corals. The structures of compounds 1-3 weee established on the basis of X-ray and 1D and 2D nmr data.
