Abstract

Use of laser capsulotomy for the removal of anterior lens capsule during cataract surgery was discussed. The size and shape of the capsulotomy created was determined by the surgeon during laser irradiation. The capsulotomy created was round with no radial tears or any other deformity on visual inspection. The average duration of the laser irradiation was found to be 3 seconds.
