N2 - Performance bounds are at the fundamentals of engineering. Specifically, wave devices are bounded by various restrictions such as the Bode-Fano bound on impedance matching, and the Chu-Harrington bound on small antenna Q factor. These are a consequence of certain assumptions, e.g., linearity, passivity, and time-invariance. By revoking their underlying assumptions, these bounds may be overcome. In a previous work we bypassed the Bode- Fano bound for impedance matching. In this talk we will present our recent results in the process of pushing towards overcoming the Chu-Harrington bound in an antenna array configuration.
