Abstract

A method for applying anisotropic corrections after isotropic prestack depth migration is presented. A special post-migration CIG ordering is used to enable anisotropic parameter estimation without iterative PSDM. The optimal anisotropic parameters can be used to perform a final anisotropic PSDM or to apply a residual correction to the isotropically migrated data. The method is demonstrated in a VTI media.
