Abstract
Patients undergoing surgery because of acute trauma have special anesthesia considerations. The principles and guildelines of anesthetic care, including use of central venous lines, establishing an airway, and inducting and maintianing anesthesia must be understood by anesthesiologists and surgeons who treat these patients.
