N2 - The authors report on 100 adolescents, ages 12 to 17, consecutively admitted to a hospital unit in Israel for severely disturbed adolescents. The Hebrew version of the K-SADS was administered, with follow-up final research diagnosis made 10 to 12 weeks after admission. Although psychotic and affective symptomatology was widespread among the inpatients, the authors found that it was possible to delineate quantitative and qualitative differences in their distribution among subjects grouped according to DSM-III diagnoses.
