note = "Funding Information: As of 15 June, 2022, 498 896 people have entered Moldova from Ukraine, of which 85 947 Ukrainian refugees and 3673 third-country nationals have remained in Moldova. Since Feb 24, 2022, most refugees have been living in various improvised refugee camps (eg, old hotels, stadiums, schools, or conference halls), each hosting 30–500 people and often facilitating a compromised level of sanitation. Moldova was chosen as our prime area of activity after mapping the refugees' distribution, the capabilities of local health services, and humanitarian aid status in the different refugee-hosting countries. Our team's arrival was pre-approved and coordinated with Moldova's national authorities, including the Ministry of Health. Funding for this mission came from private donations and financial support from the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, which also provided technical support. ",
