Abstract

This article presents the new subject of an activity controller for a multiple robot assembly cell. The activity controller determines which robot shall perform what operation; how - by determining the spatial routing and the necessary accessories, and when - so that all the cell's activities are being coordinated. This is to ensure execution of tasks at optimal efficiency, according to a specific purpose, for instance, the minimum time required for one assembly cycle.
