A study of joint structures in NZB/NZW F1 mice

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Arthritis with joint effusion does not occur in NZB/W mice with active autoimmune disease. However, evidence for the presence of vasculitis o the synovial tissue could be observed in this study. IgM and IgG deposits were noted in the vessels' wall of the synovium. other pathological findings were not detected in the synovium or joint cartilage. These findings raise the question whether the arthralgia observed in human SLR can be attributed to immune-complex vasculitis.
