Abstract
A simple procedure which allows evaluation of the three phase-modulation levels of an ARGOS signal using only a spectrum analyzer is described. When symmetry is inherent and only the total span is adjustable, a staircase type modulating signal is suggested. When each level is adjusted separately, a square-wave type signal is suggested. Analytic expressions of the expected theoretical spectrums are given and plotted with measured spectrums. -from STAR, 23(16), 1985
