Abstract

A new species of mining bee, Andrena (incertae sedis) woodi Pisanty sp.n., is described, based on molecular and morphological differences from the related species Andrena aegyptiaca Friese, 1899. The new species is endemic to sandy habitats along Israel’s Coastal Plain. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:F9CD6B6E-6A8D-48E2-934C-14D7358A1E0C.
