Abstract

Craspedoxantha yarivi, n. sp., is described from specimens collected on, and reared from, Vernonia calvoana ssp. usambarensis C. Jeffrey (Asteraceae), in the western Usambara Mountains, Tanzania. The species is included in a refined phylogeny for the genus in which the previously proposed arrangement of two species groups remains stable. Characters of immature stages are described and compared to those of two other species in the genus.
