Abstract

A method of measuring X - Y planar coordinates, using shock waves generated by sparks is proposed. This method is based on the principle of sonic spark chambers but minimizes the errors caused by the inconstancy of the wave velocity. This work is suggested for measurements of coordinates during the scanning of particle tracks photographs and as an improvement in sonic spark chambers.
