650 mW cw single-mode operation of angled grating distributed feedback lasers

Abstract

An angled grating distributed feedback laser diode producing diffraction-limited output from a single large aperture is described. The device emits 650 mW CW at a single frequency in a single-lobed beam measuring 0.17°.
