כרך לזכרו של פרופ' יזהר הירשפלד (1950-2006) נולד בקיבוץ בית קשת, גדל בטבעון ובאשקלון ומילדות ידע שארכיאולוגיה היא ייעודו.אין ספק שהוא היה הארכיאולוג הישראלי הבולט ביותר בתחום הארכיאולוגיה הקלאסית (ההלניסטית-רומית-ביזנטית).
