Abstract
A textbook for teaching about the subject, in five sections. Following the introduction, pp. 11-60 deal with Jewish life before World War II in Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, and Algeria. Pp. 61-92 deal with the Holocaust period, focusing on Albert Memmi's account in his novel "La statue de sel", as well as some documents and testimonies. The last section relates to Holocaust commemoration.
