Personal profile

Research interests

My research interest and main focus revolve around the topics of disaster psychology, public health, disaster management, trauma, and emergency medicine. My studies focus primarily on understanding human psychology in the context of emergencies and disasters. I am studying human behavior during such crises, motivation to prepare for disasters, coping styles, and determinants of resilience. I am keen on deciphering the psychosocial determinants of preparedness behavior and developing newer and more refined behavioral models that could explain why disaster risk communication falls short of achieving its goal of promoting public readiness for emergencies.
